THE DISTILLERS BIO
Guitarist/vocalist Brody Dalle
(Melbourne, Australia) paid her dues on the local punk rock circuit with an obscure band, Sourpuss, before relocating to America
in 1998. Shortly after arriving, she found a kindred spirit in Detroit, Michigan-based guitarist Rose Casper. Soon thereafter,
the other pieces to the Distillers puzzle neatly fell into place, as Kim "Chi" Fuelleman (bass) and Matt Young (drums) signed
on. A recording contract with the Epitaph Records imprint Hellcat followed shortly thereafter (a label run by Rancid's Tim Armstrong, who later married Dalle), resulting in the release of the band's debut album in 2000.
Despite the disc becoming a favourite among punk revivalists, the entire Distillers line-up then split-up, with two previous
members (Fuelleman and Young) signing on with former X singer Exene Cervenka's new band, the Original Sinners.
New members Ryan Sinn (bass)
and Andy Outbreak (drums) joined Brody Armstrong and Casper for the recording of the Distillers' second album Sing Sing Death
House, unfortunately Casper left the band before the album was released in 2002, despite her departure The Distillers continued
on without her as a 3 piece eventually recruiting Tony (ex roadie) to play guitar with Brody. With Brody's marriage to Tim
Armstrong falling apart, the band parted company with Hellcat and signed a new recording contract with Sire Records. The excellent
Coral Fang was released in October 2003. The Distillers still continue their assault on the world.

in Fitzroy , Melbourne, Australia, guitarist/vocalist Brody Dalle has a some-what rough up bringing as the song "Young
Crazed Peeling" clearly explains.1998 came and Brody switched location to the US . Shortly after arriving, Brody found
a kindred spirit in Detroit, Michigan-based guitarist Rose Casper. Soon thereafter, the other pieces
to the Distillers puzzle neatly fell into place, as Kim Chi (bass) and Matt Young (drums) were the line up for The Distillers. Tim Armstrong of punk phenomenom Rancid, and Brody of the up and coming phenomenom later married. The
release of the band's debut album in 2000 "The Distillers". Despite the debut becoming a favourite
among punk revivalists, two members then left the bandm those members being Kim (Bass) and Matt (Drums), joininga new
band, the Original Sinners. With the replacement members Ryan Sinn (bass) and Andy Outbreak
(drums), the band released there follow up album "Sing Sing Death House" in 2002 this proved another huge hit over the
selection of growing distillers fans and punk critics. The album featured the live favourite "Seneca Falls". With all the changes since the last album that have gone down, Brody and Tim Armstrong are no longer together,
she is currently dating Josh Homme, of Queens Of The Stone Age, and is now back to her maiden name "Dalle". The
Distillers now have a new line up consisting of: Brody, Andy, Ryan, and the newest member Tony, with their new album "Coral
Fang" and songs like "The Hunger" this electric lineup, who knows where it will take them?
